November 30
PC wins three games at Cherokee
PHIL CAMPBELL – The Phil Campbell junior varsity girls won 55-39 Tuesday night, while the JV boys defeated Cherokee 69-30, led by Landon Hutcheson's 15 points.
The varsity girls won 45-31 as Chasity Morgan scored 20 points and Alissa Smith had 10. The varsity boys lost to Cherokee in the last 10 seconds, 67-63, despite 21 points from Caleb Thompson and 12 from Tate Canida.
THS VBS beat Hackleburg
THARPTOWN – The Tharptown varsity boys won 66-63 against Hackleburg Tueday night as Joseph Parker scored 16 points and Devin Lawson added 13.
The varsity girls lost 61-52 to the Lady Panthers, and were led by Hollie Hines' 19 points.
Red Bay VG defeat Hamilton
RED BAY – The Red Bay varsity girls battled back to beat Hamilton 54-50 Tuesday night. Chelsey McWilliams tossed in 16 points, while Morgan Duncan had 14 and Britan Bolding added 11.
The varsity boys lost 53-49 to the Aggies in overtime. Derrick Miller scored a game-high 19 points for Red Bay, while Jesse James added 13.
Vina drops two games at Waterloo
WATERLOO – The Vina varsity teams lost at Waterloo Tuesday night.
The varsity girls fell 87-41 as Vina's Angela Parker had a team-high nine points.
The varsity boys lost 56-42, and Brent Townsend led Vina with 14 points.
PC-Belgreen JV game changed
November 30
The Phil Campbell junior varsity home game against Belgreen has been moved from Friday, November 2 to Friday, November 30.
Resort announces benefit tourney
December 6
FLORENCE – The first annual Doublehead Resort Sporting Clay Benefit will be held Friday, December 6 at the resort's multi-station sporting clay course. The five-member teams will enjoy a day of shooting that will also include breakfast, lunch, shooter's package and prizes. The entry fee is $500 per team, and all proceeds will benefit the Northwest Alabama Community Health Association. Millenium Run
December 31
The annual Millenium Run 5K and 1-Mile Fun Run will be held Monday, December 31.
