Local parades a hit thus far
By Staff
If you missed Russellville's Christmas parade last night, you were in a very small minority. Despite remarkably cold temperatures local residents turned out in force to watch the floats, cars and marchers pass through the city streets.
Monday night, Red Bay experienced a similar turnout despite equally cold temperatures.
In the first few weeks of December, it's hard to beat a fist full of candy you just picked up off the asphalt as you try to catch one glimpse of Santa, listening* to the marching band pass by and seeing babies, toddlers and small children bundled up to their eyeballs in heavy winter coats.
Our thanks to those who helped make the parades possible thus far. And for those of you who have yet to brave the cold, you have one more chance.
The Phil Campbell Christmas parade is next week.
