Before the dust settles on one expansion project at Meridian Community College, another building phase will begin.
The MCC board of directors has approved plans for "Phase 5" of the project, according to Dr. Scott Elliott, president. The newest project will add classrooms, a new court yard and a covered drive-through.
Elliott said the board also approved the promotion of Evadna Lyons to head the associate degrees program for Practical Nursing Program. Lyons, a long-time instructor at MCC, replaces Rowena Saucier, who is retiring.
Elliott noted MCC will hold spring graduation services Monday at Ray Stadium, starting at 7:30 p.m.
