Alabama North All-Stars beat South
MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) The North All-Star baseball team swept the South 7-4 and 4-2 Monday night.
Ryan Harbuck of Hoover drove in the game-winning runs in both games of the double-header. Harbuck was named Most Valuable Player and drove in a total of four runs.
Tallassee's Brandon Peters went 2-for-2 with two RBI for the South.
I liked playing with a bunch of guys who really know what they're doing. We have a lot of talent on this team,'' Peters said.
The North came from behind for victory in the second game.
In that game, Harbuck led the North with a double that scored two runs in the fifth inning. Harbuck later scored on a balk.
