Deanna Hartzler of Meridian and Brandon Gray of Moss Point were married Saturday, June 23, 2001, at Poplar Springs Drive United Methodist Church, with the Rev. D. Scott Wright officiating.
Parents of the couple are Judy Hartzler of Meridian, Larry and Sandra Hartzler of Decatur and Terry and Roxanne Richmond of Pascagoula.
Grandparents of the bride are Geneva Hartzler of West Liberty, Ohio, and the late Lloyd Hartzler, the late Arnold and Margaret Olson of Fairbault, Minn.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Garry and Frankie May of Moss Point. He is the great-grandson of Skee and Margie Frederic, L.R. and Ruby Couch, A.V. and Catherine Walker, all of Pascagoula, and Odell and Marjorie May of Winnfield, La.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Leesa Wilkinson, pianist; Janet Barham and Tim Rigby, soloists.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore an off-the-shoulder, short sleeve white satin gown with pearl beads and lace scattered throughout the gown and train.
Matron of honor was Diane Surla of Slidell, La. Other attendants were Denise Wright of Byhalia and Julie Null of Lauderdale.
Flower girls were Lindsey Lynch of Pascagoula and Kaelin Wright of Byhalia.
L.R. Couch of Pascagoula served as best man. Groomsmen and ushers were Garry May of Moss Point, David Hartzler of Meridian, Mike May of Gautier and Dan Hartzler of Leo, Ind.
Rice bag attendants were Brittany Hartzler, Bradley Hartzler and Sarah Miller.
Program attendants were Brandon Hartzler, Allan Miller and Amanda Surla.
A reception was held at the church following the ceremony. Assisting at the reception were Debbie Gray, Daelin Miller, Donna Lynch, Amy Mosley and Ashley Slayton.
After a honeymoon at a bed and breakfast in Woolmarket, the couple resides in Pascagoula.
