Worried family and friends continue to search for Amber Moody, a 15-year-old from Lauderdale.
Moody's mother, Beth Butler, said Thursday she reported her daughter as a runaway to the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department after the teen-ager left home Oct. 9.
A family friend is offering a cash reward for information leading to Moody's return; the amount was not disclosed.
Butler said the family has received information that Moody was seen in Lauderdale and Meridian. She said the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department told her they have had a few leads, but nothing has developed.
Moody, a student at Northeast Lauderdale High School, is white with brown hair and blue eyes. She is 5 feet 3 inches and weighs about 135 pounds.
Anyone with information on Moody can call the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department at 482-9800, the Butler residence at 679-5944 or family friend Renee Lewis at 681-9927.
