Amanda Lynn Bailey of Shreveport, La., and Chanin Dale Barker, formerly of York, Ala., were married Saturday, Nov. 17, 2001, at Trinity Heights Baptist Church with Dr. Drew Landry officiating.
Parents of the couple are Elton Bailey and Wilma Cooper of Shreveport, Cliff Barker of Meridian and Lynette L. Barker of York.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are J.C. and Mary Long of Quitman, and the Rev. Winston Barker of Alvin, Texas.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Judy Landry and Melanie Johnson, soloists. The bride and bridegroom pre-recorded songs used during the ceremony.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a floor-length straight ivory gown with a sweetheart neckline. The gown was enhanced with a lace overlay fully beaded with sequins which covered the entire gown. Long sleeves and a chapel-length train also enhanced the gown. Her layered veil fell from a tiara of pearls.
Matron of honor was Michele Bailey of Shreveport, sister-in-law of the bride. Other attendants were Judy Landry of Bear, Del., Amanda Davis of Bernice, La., and Paulette Ellis of Waskom, Texas. Junior bridesmaid was Laura Landry and flower girl was Meredith Landry, both of Bear.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Wade Bond of Birmingham, Ala., Brian Woodard of Little Rock, Ark., and Jeff Carter of Hot Springs, Ark. Robby Davis of Bernice was ring bearer.
A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony.
After a honeymoon in Kona, Hawaii, the couple resides in Shreveport.
