Mississippi Highway Patrol troopers charged a Snellville, Ga., man with disorderly conduct Wednesday after he allegedly threatened to harm an infant on Interstate 20.
Sgt. Ronnie Carter said troopers were dispatched to the scene at the 167-mile marker after motorists reported the man was carrying the infant down the interstate. The man, 24-year-old Adil Minza, had allegedly become angry with the driver of the car in which he was riding and began making threats toward the infant.
Carter said a motorist had stopped to help the child when authorities were called to the scene.
Minza remained in custody at the Lauderdale County Detention Facility at press time.
