Ed Reeves of Dothan, Ala., and Jo Ellen Reeves of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Lorrie Elizabeth, to James Clark Jr., son of Mr. and Mrs. James Clark of Brandon and Teresa Patterson of Oxford.
The wedding will be held Saturday, Jan. 5, 2002, at 2 p.m. at Fifteenth Avenue Baptist Church in Meridian.
Miss Reeves is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Reeves and Edweena Matley, all of Meridian. She is the great-granddaughter of Helen Reeves of Lauderdale.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a bachelor's degree in nursing, with a minor in applied music, from the University of Southern Mississippi.
While attending USM, she was a member of the Baptist Student Union, USM Pride Marching Band, Symphonic Winds and Sigma Theta Tau honor society.
Miss Reeves is employed by Legacy Emanuel Hospital in Portland, Ore.
Mr. Clark is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Ralph Byars of Aberdeen and the late Mr. and Mrs. Moses Clark of Brandon.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of New Hope High School and received a bachelor's degree in speech communications from the University of Southern Mississippi.
While attending USM, he was a member of the Baptist Student Union, USM Pride Marching Band and Symphonic Winds.
Mr. Clark is employed by Interstate Baptist Association in Portland and a graduate student at Golden Gate Baptist Theological Seminary.
Family and friends are invited to attend.
