The Question …
Who scored the first touchdown in Super Bowl history?
Star Tracking …

STARKVILLE A once promising season for Mississippi State has turned ugly and it would not get any prettier against Mississippi. Tywanna Inmon scored 19 points and grabbed 10 rebounds as Ole Miss broke a five-game losing streak to Mississippi State in a 75-57 win Thursday night. Becky Myatt made three of Mississippi's nine 3-pointers and finished with 13 points for the Lady Rebels (14-6, 2-5 Southeastern Conference).
DURHAM, N.C. Brendan Haywood, a 48 percent free-throw shooter, made two foul shots with 1.2 seconds left Thursdays night to give the Heels an 85-83 victory over the second-ranked Duke Blue Devils in the latest chapter of one of college basketball's greatest rivalries. The Tar Heels (18-2, 8-0 Atlantic Coast Conference) won their 15th straight game and snapped Duke's five-game winning streak in the series.

LAWRENCE, Kan. Raef LaFrentz scored 11 points in overtime and No. 1 Kansas beat Nebraska 82-77 Saturday, giving the undefeated Jayhawks their 22nd win of the season and the best start in the school's storied 99 years.
After a scoreless first 60 minutes of action, coach Pat Ross' Lady Wildcats of Meridian exploded for five goals in the second half Saturday to keep their championship title hopes alive with a 5-0 conquest over a gritty bunch of Lady Eagles from Resurrection Catholic at Meridian High's Ray Stadium in the MHSAA girls state soccer playoffs.

DECATUR Two ranked basketball teams played Saturday at East Central Community College, but unfortunately not against each other. The sixth-ranked Holmes Lady Bulldogs defeated ECCC's Lady Warriors 90-63, while the 18th-ranked Warriors sped by Holmes 98-50.
If you were looking for the happiest man in Meridian on Saturday and didn't see Steve Clements, your cause was lost. Clements, the head coach of the Meridian High School soccer Wildcats, was jubilant at Ray Stadium yesterday afternoon, even after being doused with a bucket of gatorade in the dropping temperatures. And he had reason to be. His Wildcats continued their cinderella season, upsetting highly-regarded Starkville 1-0 in the first round of the playoff.

The Answer …
Max McGee of the Green Bay Packers on a 37-yard pass from Bart Starr with 8:56 remaining in the first quarter of the Packers' 35-10 win over the Kansas City Chiefs on Jan. 15, 1967.
Sports Faces …
Marvin McDonald
One of the big reasons why Heidelberg High School has a chance to make it to the Big House – aka – the Mississippi Coliseum is because of senior guard Marvin McDonald.
McDonald has had a hot January with three 30-point games. This includes a 30-point effort in a tough 94-89 loss to Meridian back on Jan. 18.
McDonald feels the 20-5 Oilers will be a force in the playoffs.
