50th anniversary
The Rev. and Mrs. Wallace H. Lucky recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. The Luckys were married March 28, 1952, in Lake Charles, La. They have five children: Stanley Lucky, Danny Lucky, Jon David Lucky, Michael Lucky and Dr. Thomas Lucky, all of Meridian. They have eight grandchildren: Laura, Catherine, Summer, Robert, Justin, Elizabeth, Phillip and Nathan. The children and grandchildren will host a reception in their honor Sunday, April 7, 2002, from 2 p.m.-4 p.m. at Center Hill United Pentecostal Church, 9681 Pine Springs Road. Family and friends are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts.
50th anniversary
The children of J.P. and Floy Hurst will honor their parents 50th anniversary with a reception on Sunday, April 7, 2002, at Sand Springs Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Highway 503. The reception will be from 2 p.m.-3:30 p.m. The couple were married April 1, 1952, at Chunky Methodist Church. Family and friends are invited to attend. The couple requests no gifts.
109th birthday
Fannie Glenn Pearson was born March 31, 1893, in Lisman, Ala. She was one of four children born to the late Rosie and Preston Glenn. She married the late Jerry Pearson and they had seven children, two of which are still alive Velma Bailey of Meridian and James Pearson of Kansas City, Mo. Pearson has 14 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 16 great-great-grandchildren and one great-great-great-grandchild.
