Debbie Cooley and James Jackson, both of Meridian, announce the engagement of their daughter, Dana M. Jackson, to Jason Newhouse, son of Larry and Donna Newhouse of Tallahassee, Fla.
The wedding will be Saturday, May 11, 2002, at 3 p.m. at E. Peck Greene Park in Tallahassee.
Miss Jackson is the granddaughter of Jean Hambrick of Meridian and the late Leslie E. Hambrick Sr.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Clarkdale High School and is attending Tallahassee Community College pursuing a degree in accounting technology. She is employed by the Tallahassee Democrat.
Mr. Newhouse is the grandson of the late Mr.and Mrs. Sam Boothe of Greenville, Fla., Mary Newhouse of Pittsburg, Pa., and the late Lawrence J. Newhouse.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Tallahassee High School and is attending Tallahassee Community College pursuing a degree in law enforcement technology.
He is employed as the assistant manager at Barnaby's Restaurant.
A reception will be held at Shell Point Marina following the ceremony.
