MERREHOPE  Betsy Rawson, left, and Neeta Sanders, members of the Galaxy Club which is part of the Meridian Restorations Foundation, hang silk magnolias and gilded pine cones on the Mississippi Tree at Merrehope.
The Mississippi Tree is one of 14 trees in the 32nd Annual Trees of Christmas Tour to be held Dec. 2-9. Naval Air Station Meridian personnel, some of whom just arrived in Meridian this week, were at Merrehope and the F.W. Williams House Monday assembling silk firs and moving in live cypress trees delivered from Lazy Acres Christmas Tree Farm.
All this week, school groups and members of the Meridian Restorations Foundation will be decorating the trees.
