DOROTHY FAYE ACKER
Homemaker, part-time Realtor
Memorial services for Dorothy Faye Acker will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with her son, Greg Acker, and other family members officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery.
Mrs. Acker, 70, of Lewisville, Texas, died Tuesday, Dec. 5, 2000, in her home. She was a homemaker and part-time Realtor who had lived in Meridian most of her adult life.
Survivors include a son, Greg Acker of Coppell, Texas; a daughter, Deborah Acker of Lavallette, N.J.; two sisters, Lavelle Haggard of Mobile, Ala., and Velma Hooks of Louisville; two brothers, Buren Ruth of Vicksburg and Charlie Ruth of Longview, Wash.; and three grandchildren, Erin Acker, Jonathan Acker and Austin Acker.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Acker, and a son, Randy Acker.
The family requests memorials be made to the American Lung Association in Mrs. Acker's name.
ELIZABETH GRACE ARMISTEAD
GILBERTOWN, Ala. Graveside services for Elizabeth Grace Armistead were held Saturday, Dec. 9, 2000 at 2 p.m. at Mt. Pisgah Cemetery, with the Rev. Jessie Griffith officiating. Phillips Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
Survivors include her parents, Brad Armistead and Erica Gianesin of Melvin; paternal grandparents, Thomas and Lawanda Bowen of Oak Ridge, Mo. and Mitchell Gianesin of Rockford, Ill.
AZELLE R. DAMON

Graveside services for Azelle R. Damon will be held today at 2 p.m. at Magnolia Cemetery, with the Rev. Roy Dabbs officiating. James F. Webb Funeral home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Damon, 94, of Meridian, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at King's Daughters and Sons Nursing Home.
She was a retired sales clerk and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church.
Survivors include five nephews, William Drinkwater, Jim Sanders, Vernon Rollins, Jr., all of Meridian, Ralph Robertson of Starkville and Vince Neill of Heritage, Mont.; and two nieces, Jennie Aaron White and Rebecca Sanders both of Meridian.
WOODFORD DOUGLAS MCGEE
Retired supervisor for Mississippi Material
NEWTON Services for Woodford Douglas McGee will be held Saturday at 10 a.m. at Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church, with the Rev. Winnie McMahon officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. McGee, 77, of Hickory, died Wednesday, Dec. 13, 2000, at his home.
He was a retired supervisor with Mississippi Material and served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was also a member of Pleasant Ridge Baptist Church and a Shriner of Hueytown Chapter.
Survivors include two daughters, Cheryl Bailey of Hueytown, Ala. and Barbara Kizzian of Chattanooga, Tenn.; a son-in-law, John Bailey of Hueytown; a sister, Betty Caraway of Jackson; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Annie Laura Williams McGee.
Visitation will be today from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
VIRGINIA A. CLARK
Retired from Dennison
Services for Virginia A. Clark will be held Saturday at 11:30 a.m. at Barham Funeral Home Chapel, with the Revs. Nick Holden and Roy Dabbs officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Horeb Cemetery.
Mrs. Clark, 65, of Meridian, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center. She was a member of Mt. Horeb Baptist Church.
Survivors include her husband, William D. Clark Jr., a daughter, Ramona Napp and her husband, Jessie, and two grandchildren, Karen and A.J. Napp, all of Meridian; two sisters, Margaret Fergerson of Jackson and Evelyn Hayes of Tennessee; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers.
Pallbearers will be Chris Gray, Ralph Thomas, Carl Wiggins, Mark Jenkins, Steve Jenkins, Barry Gray, Michael Burst and Hartford Jones.
Visitation will be today from 5-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
FLOICE MAE HARPER SMITH
Retired Graniteville employee
LANGLEY, S.C. Services for Floice Mae Harper Smith will be held at Sunday at 2 p.m. at Hatcher Funeral Home, with the Rev. J.B. Redd officiating. Burial will be in Sunset Memory Gardens in Graniteville.
Mrs. Smith, 92, of Warrenville, died Thursday, Dec. 14, 2000, at University Hospital in Augusta, Ga.
She was was a retired employee with the Graniteville Company. She was a member of the Autumn Years Choir, The Laura Ellen Sunday school class, the Swinging 60s at Clearwater Baptist Church, Daughters of America, Young at Heart, Warrenville Women's Club, Graniteville Leisure Club, Baptist Women's Union at Warrenville First Baptist Church. She was born in Meridian.
Survivors include three sons, Cecil G. Cole of Graniteville, Ottis J. Smith Jr. of Lexington, Don Smith of Warrenville; nine grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ottis J. Smith Sr. and her parents James Monroe Harper and Sarah Wolfe Harper.
Pallbearers will be the deacons of Warrenville First Baptist Church.
Memorials may be made to Warrenville First Baptist Church at P.O. Box 333, Warrenville, S.C. 29851.
Visitation will be at the residence of Don Smith, 2511 Pine Log Road in Warrenville or on Saturday evening from 7 to 9 p.m. at the funeral home.
