A planned new strip center as part of the Bonita Lakes Mall could be under construction within six months, according to outgoing Property Manager Jeff Price.
Price said CBL and Associates Management Inc., the company that owns and manages Bonita Lakes Mall, has been working for over a year to secure agreements with new stores to occupy the 17,600 square-foot strip mall when it is built.
The strip mall would be located between O'Charley's and Great Southern Bank . Price said he couldn't name which stores had given letters of intent to locate in the new strip mall.
Price said CBL has also been planning a 20,000 square-foot expansion of Bonita Lakes Crossing, adding the building space on next to Shoe Carnival.
The two projects may be some of the last Price works on before leaving in February to take over as General Manager of Hickory Hall Mall in Nashville, which is also owned by CBL. Price has been with CBL for 10 years.
Bob Jenkins, assistant manager at Bonita Lakes Mall, will take over as mall manager when Price departs.
