Eagle golf coach Lou Hart added to the plethora of talent already in place at Meridian Community College on Wednesday as she signed local standout Daniel Boles.
Boles, a senior at Clarkdale High School, finished last spring as the MHSAA Class 2A State runnerup and also claimed seven medalist honors.
During the summer Boles won the Optimist International Qualifier, tied for 14th overall in the Optimist International, finished third in the MGA State Junior, and tied for 12th in the State Amateur with a outstanding 1-over par performance in the 72 hole event at Country Club of Jackson.
Boles' play hasn't gone unnoticed over the last few years and the same can be said for his character. "He's just a great kid to be around and I think that he will fit in well here at MCC," Hart said.
Boles said that he is ready to bring home the state title this year and prepare for his days as an Eagle.
