AND THE WINNERS ARE The title of Lauderdale County's Junior Miss 2002 was awarded to Carrie Elizabeth Jones while Jaime Elizabeth Broadhead was chosen to represent Meridian for 2002. The event was held Saturday night at a packed Meridian High School auditorium. Lauderdale County first alternate was Alexis D. Pomierski and second alternate was Natalie Cherre Goldman. First alternate in Meridian's competition was Ann Marie Hall and second alternate was Deborah Lindsey Knight. The winners will next compete in the state program which will be held in August at the Temple Theatre. See The Star's Monday edition for complete coverage of the evening's festivities.
