Community Day' set for Saturday at Bonita Lakes Mall

Some 27 community groups and organizations will showcase the ways they help to make our area a better place to live this Saturday at Bonita Lakes Mall.
Community Day, a semi-annual event, is scheduled for Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Exhibitors will be set up throughout the mall. The event is free and open to the public.
Representatives from each group will be on hand to pass out information, discuss volunteer opportunities and answer questions. Some groups will sell various products, with proceeds benefiting their organizations.
Groups scheduled to participate include:
LIFE (Living Independence for Everyone);
VFW Post #79;
American Red Cross;
Greater Meridian Jaycees;
Meridian Radiology Associates;
American Legion T.C. Carter Post #21;
Weems Community Health Center;
Good News Jail and Prison Ministry;
Second Chance Transplant Support Group;
Victory Outreach Center;
Girl Scouts of Gulf Pines Council;
Partnership for a Healthy Lauderdale County;
World Changers;
St. Patrick School;
Wesley House Community Center;
Alzheimer's Association;
Mississippi Development Authority, Energy Division;
Hudspeth Regional Center;
Meridian Amateur Radio Club;
American Legion Post #125;
Diabetes Foundation of Mississippi, East Central chapter;
Mayor's Awareness Committee for People with Disabilities;
Sertoma Club of Meridian;
American Business Women's Association;
Multi-County Community Service Agency;
Magnolia Quilters Guild; and
International Mississippi Youth Development (which will sponsor an inflatable fun jump).
The next Community Day is scheduled for Sept. 8. For information on how your group or organization can participate, contact White or Marie Jennings in the mall office at 693-3433.
