Meridian police are searching for a gunman who robbed the 20th Street Amoco station early Monday morning.
Lt. Lee Currie said a black man entered the convenience store at 3408 20th St. brandishing a chrome-or nickel-plated semi-automatic handgun and demanded money from the cashier.
The man was masked and wore a blue jacket with a hood that covered his head, Currie said. He is described as being about 5 feet 4 inches tall. The robber fled on foot in an unknown direction with an undisclosed amount of cash.
