Dupr named regional advertising manager

Crystal Dupr, advertising director of The Meridian Star, has been named regional advertising manager for the four newspapers in Community Newspaper Holdings Inc.'s new East Mississippi Region.
Her appointment was announced by Paul Barrett, cnhi's regional manager and publisher of The Meridian Star.
Dupr will retain her duties at The Meridian Star and assume new oversight responsibilities over joint advertising activities of The Star, the Laurel Leader-Call, Newton Record and Wayne County News.
Dupr holds a bachelor's degree in marketing and a master's degree in business administration, both from Mississippi State University. She has completed all course work and comprehensive exams toward a Ph.D. in Higher Education Administration from the University of Southern Mississippi.
Her newspaper career started in 1995 when Barrett hired her as advertising manager of the Laurel Leader-Call. She left the newspaper business about three years later to pursue her Ph.D. and joined The Meridian Star as advertising director in June 1999. She has been co-owner of Signature Coffee House in Laurel since 1998.
