The bride-elect is a graduate of Philo High School and received an associates of art degree in business and office technology from Meridian Community College.
While attending MCC, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and president of Phi Beta Lambda.
Ms. McLaughlin is employed by State Farm Insurance.
Mr. Vail is the grandson of the late William and Esther Vail of Little Falls, N.Y., and the late Joe and Hilda Durben of Stacyville, Iowa.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Olympia High School in Olympia, Wash., and received a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Washington State University.
White attending WSU, he was a member of the University Crew Team. He served as a Naval aviator before accepting employment with Delta Air Lines.
