Collinsville man charged with statutory rape

A Lauderdale County man is in jail this morning after being charged with three counts of statutory rape.
Investigator Jim Stephens of the Lauderdale County Sheriff's Department Criminal Investigations Division said James D. Boggan, 20, of 10612 Hickory Hills Circle in Collinsville was taken into custody at his home Wednesday about 11:30 a.m.
An investigation into the case began after the family of the 13-year-old Boggan is accused of raping came into the sheriff's department to file charges.
Boggan, who is being held in the Lauderdale County Detention Facility on $30,000 bond, $10,000 for each count, is expected to make his initial court appearance today.
