June 1, 2001
Not even a 90-minute rain delay could spoil the fun for some 128 golfers in the ninth-annual WTOK-Rush Coaches' Golf Tournament at Ponta Creek Golf Course at NAS Meridian.
Led by Benji Carpenter, the foursome of Joe Miller, Kenneth Abbott, and Stephanie Roulier took first place with a 14-under par 58.
Bryan Culpepper, Rush Culpepper, Dusty Culpepper, and Daniel Boles took second place with a 61.
Third place, also at 61, was the team of Scooter Holloway, Dan Stegall, Micky Smith, and Jody Hurst.
