Montgomery watches Pentagon fire from his Virginia office

Former U.S. Rep. G.V. "Sonny" Montgomery was watching casualties being carried from the Pentagon at 9 this morning.
Montgomery said he was "sitting tight" in his office at the Canal Center Plaza, a half-mile from the Pentagon and across the river from the U.S. Capitol. He had a late-morning appointment at the Raymond Building, but he couldn't reach the Capitol by phone to confirm it.
From Montgomery's view, he said, the fire at the Pentagon looked to be under control.
Montgomery said he was wondering what may happen next.
A second call to Montgomery's office at 9:30 a.m. would not go through. The automated voice repeated that all circuits were busy.
