Tera Marie Robinson and Jeffrey Alan Murphy were united in marriage on Saturday, June 30, 2001, at NorthPark Church. The candlelight ceremony was conducted by the Rev. Earl Wheatley.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Michael J. Robinson of The Colony, Texas, and Mr. and Mrs. Marlan Murphy of Bailey.
The bride is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Aubert Poole of Collinsville; Gladys Robinson of Meridian and the late C. Reed Robinson.
The bridegroom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Lynn Lisenbe of Bailey, the late Mr. and Mrs. Otis Gough and the late Howard T. Murphy.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Linda Arledge, pianist; Kay Stewart, organist; and Mrs. Rick Robinson, soloist and aunt of the bride.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal gown of organza and embroidered lace enhanced with a strapless A-line bodice. The full organza skirt, scattered with beaded appliques, was centered at the natural waistline and fell to a cathedral-length train. Her veil of tiers of illusion, edged in satin cording, fell from a tiara of crystals.
Wrapped around the stem of the bride's bouquet was the pearls belonging to the bridegroom's grandmother. The coin placed in her shoe by her father was presented to her by the Rev. Wheatley, the couple's pastor. She also carried a monogrammed handkerchief given to her by her mother.
Attending the bride as matron of honor was Dorie Murphy of Gainesville, Fla., sister-in-law of the bridegroom. Bridesmaids were Summer Stephens of Meridian, Amy Murphy of Bailey, sister of the bridegroom, Jessica Kunde of Carrolton, Texas, and Vanessa Lascano of The Colony.
Flower girls were Victoria Leigh Poole and Shelby Lynne Chaney, cousins of the bride. Ring bearer was Logan Etheridge, cousin of the bride.
The father of the bridegroom served as best man. Groomsmen were Glenn Murphy of Gainesville, brother of the bridegroom, Eric Miles of Meridian, Brock Clay of DeKalb, Josh Perkins of Collinsville and Michael Simms of Bailey.
Ushers were Mitch Robinson and Troy David Robinson, both of The Colony and brothers of the bride.
A reception, hosted by the bride's parents, was held at the Meridian Little Theatre Green Room, following the ceremony. Music was provided by Carey Smith and Friends.
On the eve of the wedding the bridegroom's parents honored the couple with a rehearsal dinner at Bellavilla.
The couple resides in Meridian.
