Hotelier to address MCC Roundtable'

The co-chairman of Mississippi Management Inc. (MMI) Hotel Group and MMI Dining Systems will address members of the Meridian Community College Foundation President's Roundtable at noon Thursday.
Earle F. Jones of Jackson will be introduced to the group by Tom Wacaster, vice president for educational programs and research of the Phil Hardin Foundation.
The President's Roundtable is made up of businessmen and women who support the MCC Foundation Tuition Guarantee for local high school graduates and its scholarship program, said Bob Malone, president of the Foundation.
A graduate of the University of California at Los Angeles and Harvard Business School, Jones has been associated with MMI since the organization's founding in 1956. The MMI Hotel Group employs 1,200 people and has annual sales revenues of about $60 million, while the MMI Dining Systems employs over 1,000 people.
Formerly president of the International Association of Holiday Inns, he also chaired the committee that developed the Holidex Reservation System. He is a former chairman of the board of Starwood Hotels &Resorts Worldwide Inc. Starwood, with Westin, St. Regis and W brands, has more than 700 hotels in 80 countries.
Jones combines his career with a wide range of other business, charitable and civic interests.
