A Masked Affair' headlines Symphony ball

The 40th annual Meridian Symphony League Ball will be held Saturday at the Frank Cochran Center from 7 p.m.-1 a.m.
The theme is " A Masked Affair." Masks are available at Harry Mayer's, Rhonda's Connection, The Ritz and Panache'. They will also be available at the door the night of the ball. There are masks for both women and men and the cost is $5 each.
The band is Figure 8 from Mobile, Ala. They play old Motown music. The band plays from 9 p.m.- 1 a.m.
There will be a silent auction from 7 p.m. – 10 p.m. The live auction will start at 10 p.m. The silent auction features hundreds of items donated by local businesses. Some of the auction items include a Kia Sedona, a manufactured home that would make a great hunting lodge or lake house, a four-person Jacuzzi, a baby grand piano, a conducting session with the Meridian Symphony Orchestra for the playing of the National Anthem, vacations, artwork, jewelry, home accessories, and much more.
This is the league's major fund-raiser for the Meridian Symphony Orchestra.
Tickets are $35 per person and tickets may be purchased by calling 485-4926 or tickets will be available at the door.
