Mr. and Mrs. Sylvan David Straus of Hattiesburg announce the engagement of their daughter, Stacey Rebecca, to Todd Glennon Metz, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Jerome Metz of Poplar Bluff, Mo.
Wedding vows will be exchanged at 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 10, 2001, at First Baptist Church in Hattiesburg.
Miss Straus is the granddaughter of Mrs. James Jerome Bryan of Starkville and the late Mr. Bryan; Mrs. Marks Rothenberg Straus and the late Mr. Straus and the late Sara Margaret Tucker Straus of Meridian.
She is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor's and master's degree in special education. She is employed by the Poplar Bluff R-1 School District.
Mr. Metz is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Carl Jewell Wright of Cape Girardeau, Mo.; Mrs. Jerome William Metz of Oran, Mo., and the late Mr. Metz.
He is a graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a bachelor's degree in sports administration. He is employed as a sales representative with Organon Pharmaceuticals.
A reception will follow at the Hattiesburg Cultural Center.
