JACKSON The threat of severe weather in the area on Thursday led the Mississippi Private School Association to move its Class A and Class AA football championship games from Thursday to Saturday.
Wayne Academy (12-1) takes on Trinity Episcopal (11-2) at 1 p.m. on Saturday, while Oak Forest (La.) will take on Magnolia Heights at 7 p.m. that night in the AA game. The Friday games have Silliman and North Delta playing at 1 p.m. for the AAA title and Jackson Academy and Jackson Prep playing for the AAAA crown at 7.
