Union 55
Lake got 20 points from Kimyatta Viverette and 17 from Roxana Rogers to beat Union 70-55 in Division 6-1A action.
Union was led by LaSaundra Harrison with 17 points and Curbie Buckley with 11.
The loss drops Union to 8-11 overall and 4-3 in division action.
Lake, 15-3 and 6-0, led throughout going up 33-26 at the half. It was 53-40 after three quarters.

The Union Yellowjackets moved to 6-1 in Division 6-1A play by stinging the Hornets. Union improves to 12-9 overall.
Anthony Johnson led Union with 13 points while Derrick Harris had 12. Marvin Washington paced Lake, 4-13, with nine.
Union led 26-13 at the half and 48-25 after three quarters. Union will face Pelahatchie on Friday.
Patrician girls 59
Marengo 20
Chastity Etheridge tossed in 15 points and grabbed 10 rebounds to lead the Lady Saints to the area win. Patrician moves to 10-2 overall and 5-0 in area play.

Patrician 38
Marengo took the close area win from Patrician as the Saints fell to 11-4 on the season and are now 3-2 in area play. Jordan May tossed in 18 points to lead Patrician.

Clarkdale outscored the Warriors 6-1 in overtime to take the win at Nanih Waiya.
Bryant Gaddis scored 22 points for Clarkdale, 6-14, with Brandon Mabry adding 18. David Frey scored 16 points to lead Nanih Waiya. Brett Blackwell had 12.
Clarkdale hosts Scott Central on Friday.

Christy Hickman had 15 points and Ashley Pugh tossed in 13 to lead Nanih Waiya.
The Lady Warriors go to Durant on Friday.
Felicia Kirksey had 17 for Clarkdale, 6-14.

Noxapater 44
The Lady Whippets of Kosciusko downed Noxapater by eight points.
Noxapater got a game-high 25 points from Deidre Triplett and Stephanie Blankenship chipped in six.
Kosciusko was led by Ashley Herron with 12 points. Robyn Dawson and Martina Perteet had 11 each.

Newton Academy 36
Garrett James' 3-pointer in overtime lifted the Jaguars to a 37-36 win over Newton County Academy in Waynesboro.
The win ups the Jaguars to 6-1 in Academy 3-A play. They are 7-3 overall.
James had 12 points and Steven Wood had eight.
It was 34-34 at the end of regulation.
Newton Academy got 11 points from Bud Loper and Jonathan Hoover had 10. The Generals fall to 8-10 with the loss.

Erica Stanley fired in 24 points to lead Wayne Academy past Newton.
The Lady Jaguars improved to 9-6 on the season. They led 7-6 after one quarter, 19-12 at the half, and 37-23 after three quarters.
Newton, 5-14, was led by Casey McMahan with 16 points and Andi Chesney had 12.
Bay Springs girls 55

The Bay Springs Lady Bulldogs moved to 10-12 on the season with the 36-point rout.
Qualia Payton led Bay Springs with 13. Brittany Martin had 12 and Kay Martin chipped in 10.
Forest boys 79
Richland 36
Forest moved to 18-3 on the season by ripping Richland in Division 6-3A action. Pierre Barlow had 24 points to lead the Bearcats.
Sumter Aca. girls 42
South Choctaw 40
Sumter trailed 12-5 after one quarter before rallying to take the win.
Erica Hester had 15 points and seven rebounds for Sumter with Natalie Fox adding 13 points and seven rebounds.
Katie Lewis had 10 points for South Choctaw.
Sumter goes to Jackson Academy Friday.
