There will be a lot of important soccer matches played in East Mississippi this week.
While West Lauderdale is probably just one win away from wrapping up its eighth-straight division title, the Clarkdale Bulldogs will be in a fight to make the playoffs for the third time in seven years.
Northeast Lauderdale is also in the playoff hunt, but faces a must-win situation on Tuesday night when the Trojans play host to Laurel.
In District 5 3A-2A-1A play, West Lauderdale leads the way with a 12-4 overall record and no league losses on its record.
The Knights visit Newton County at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, before traveling to Clarkdale for a big 7 p.m. game on Thursday and then hosting Philadelphia at 3 p.m. on Saturday.
Clarkdale and Philadelphia match up in a key game at Harpole Stadium in Philadelphia at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
