Couch, McCollum

Jennifer Anne McCollum of Toomsuba and Thomas Ryan Couch of Meridian were married Saturday, Dec. 8, 2001, at Mt. Gilead Baptist Church with the Dr. James Smith officiating.
Parents of the couple are Mr. and Mrs. Murvis McCollum Jr. of Toomsuba, and Mr. and Mrs. Michael Irvin Couch of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are Paul L. Harper of Meridian and the late Ruth Edna Harper, and the late Mr. and Mrs. Murvis McCollum Sr. of Toomsuba.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Glenda Rose Couch of Meridian and the late Roy Thomas Couch, Shirley June Alexander of Little Rock and the late Hubert Harris Homnesley.
Music for the ceremony was provided by Kathy Joyner, organist; Brady Rushing, sound; and Van Williams, soloist.
The bride was given in marriage by her father. She wore a formal gown enhanced with off-the-shoulder capped sleeves. The bodice was adorned with shear shafle lace and pearls accented with sequins. The cut of the gown was an A-line and the material was white satin. The back of the gown had pearls and sequins cascading down to the scattered appliques on the chapel-length train.
Matron of honor was Michelle Emerick Williams of Hattiesburg. Bridesmaids were Eve Basenko of Ukrain and Allison Harper of Hattiesburg. Other attendants were Valarie Harper and Allison Heflin serving as junior bridesmaids. Guest register attendant was Amanda Harper. Serving as flower girls were Amy Few and Kaitlyn Knuth.
Patrick LeBrun of Meridian served as best man. Groomsmen were Michael Irvin Couch, father of the bridegroom, Robbie Curbow of Tupelo and Dereck Couch of Meridian, brother of the bridegroom. Ushers were Van Williams of Hattiesburg and Riley Curbow of Tupelo. Scott Couch, brother of the bridegroom, served as ring bearer.
A reception was held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Assisting were Rachel Curbow, Sandra Harper, Angela Heflin, Kim Commans, Brittany Wilson and Carolyn Hawkins.
After a honeymoon in Tennessee, the couple resides in Meridian.
