Mr. and Mrs. Warner Hale Gaston of Meridian announce the engagement of their daughter, Lucy Taylor, to George Joshua Blair, son of Mr. and Mrs. George Blair of Laurel.
The wedding will be Saturday, April 27, 2002, at 7 p.m. at St. Paul's Episcopal Church of Meridian.
Miss Gaston is the granddaughter of Mrs. Cecil Lorrain Gaston and the late Dr. Gaston, and Phillip Alonzo McLelland and the late Mrs. McLelland.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Meridian High School and received a bachelor's degree in English from the University of Mississippi.
While attending Ole Miss, she was a member of Chi Omega Sorority. Miss Gaston is employed by A.G. Edwards and Sons Inc.
Mr. Blair is the grandson of the late Mr. and Mrs. Randolph Noble of Melton and the late Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Blair of Pascagoula.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of R.H. Watkins High School in Laurel and received a bachelor's degree in biology from the University of Mississippi.
Mr. Blair will be graduating from the University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson in May.
A reception will be held at Northwood Country Club following the ceremony.
