An 18-foot giant slide, face painting, pet adoptions, music, clowns, information on community and nonprofit organizations and more are planned for Saturday at Bonita Lakes Mall.
Activities are scheduled throughout the day for "Family &Community Day" at the mall.
Community and nonprofit organizations will man displays from 10 a.m.-6 p.m. throughout the mall. Organizations will provide information on services they provide.
Among the groups scheduled to participate is the Lauderdale County Humane Society, which will offer pet adoptions. Abused, neglected and unwanted animals will be available for adoption from 10 a.m.-3 p.m. in front of J.C. Penney.
The Meridian High School Lamplighters will perform at noon and 2 p.m. at the Center Court stage.
Other free activities are scheduled from 11 a.m.-7 p.m. throughout the day.
Local clowns will be on hand to offer face painting, while others will perform short routines. An 18-foot giant slide and two "fun jumps" also will be available during the day.
Jan's Hallmark will sponsor balloon creations from noon to 2 p.m. in front of the Hallmark store near the food court. Like all of the day's activities, the balloon creations will be free.
