Options, a night club on the north side of Meridian originally designed for teenagers, has become an adults only club.
Owner Jay Ramey said financial considerations prompted him to change the original concept of the club, which is located on Highway 493. It was first established as a place where young people could hang out during certain hours, and as a "bring your own beer" after hours club for adults.
Now, he said he hopes to gain enough revenue from Options to open a second club, which he would open for teens.
He said he is currently trying to gain permission from City Hall to open Options on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for teens. He said that the Tuesday and Wednesday night opening would most likely be only in the summer.
Options is now open only to people 18 and up. Now that he has gained his liquor license, a bar is offered, along with entertainment such as dancing, billiards, electronic darts and Ping Pong.
