Hughes, Rogers

The Rev. and Mrs. Douglas E. Hughes of New Castle, Pa., announce the engagement of their daughter, Kristin Elizabeth of Oxford, to Stephen Grafton Rogers, son of Mr. and Mrs. Don O. Rogers III of Meridian.
The wedding will be Saturday, Aug. 9, 2003, at 2 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church in Meridian.
Miss Hughes is the granddaughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard H. Lang of Belmar, N.J., and Mrs. Eldon L. Hughes of Monticello, Fla., and the late Mr. Hughes.
The bride-elect is a 1998 honors of Meridian High School and received a bachelor's degree in Christian education, graduating cum laude, from Bryan College in Dayton, Tenn.
Miss Hughes is employed by the University of Mississippi Library.
Mr. Rogers is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William James Chapman of Madison, the the late Don O. Rogers Jr., Mrs. Stanley L. Viner of Ridgeland and the late Mr. Viner.
The bridegroom-elect is a 1998 honors graduate of Lamar High School and attended Meridian Community College. He received a bachelor's degree in art, with an emphasis in graphic design, from the University of Mississippi.
While attending MCC, he was a member of the Art Students League, Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Baptist Student Union.
While at Ole Miss, he was a member of the Baptist Student Union and the Reformed University Fellowship.
A reception will be held in the church fellowship hall following the ceremony. Family and friends are invited to attend.
