Greg and Mitch Milstead, and Gina T. Milstead, all of Quitman, announce the engagement of their daughter, Lauren, to Kevin McDonald, son of Stan and Debbie McDonald of Quitman.
The wedding will be Saturday, July 26, 2003, at 3 p.m. at Providence Church in Carmichael.
Miss Milstead is the granddaughter of Loretta and Louie Schrimpshire of Quitman, Robert Earl and Hazel Tindle, Hylon E. Milstead Sr. and the late Vickie Milstead of Quitman.
The bride-elect is a graduate of Quitman High School, where she was a member of the National Honor Society, the Beta Club and the Student Council. She is currently attending Meridian Community College.
Miss Milstead is employed by USA Fabrics.
Mr. Milstead is the grandson of Dean Boyette of Meridian and the late Claude Boyette, and Elizabeth Williams of Quitman.
The bridegroom-elect is a graduate of Quitman High and received an associate's degree from Meridian Community College. He is currently attending Mississippi State University.
While at MCC, he was a member of the Men's Tennis Team, Phi Theta Kappa Honor Society, Who's Who Among Junior Colleges and the National Dean's List.
At MSU, he is a member of Beta Gamma Sigma Honor Society.
Mr. McDonald is employed by United Parcel Service.
A reception will be held at the church following the ceremony. No invitations will be sent out locally. Friends and family are invited to attend.
