Hart, Phillips take win at Northwood

Lou Hart and Leigh Phillips shot a 62 in the 2003 Northwood Ladies Scramble to blow away the competition and take first place in the championship flight of the tournament on Saturday.
The score was good enough to win the one-day event by nine strokes as Anne Marie Massingill and Helen Maples teamed up for a 71 to take second.
Margaret Carver and Pam Posey also shot a 71 to take third in the championship flight and Leianne Loveless and Virginia Pennington's 73 was good enough for fourth place.
The golfers were split into three nine-team flights and the final flight had eight teams.
Clara Wimberly and Lynda Moore took the top spot in the first flight with a 79 and Suzanne Todd and Carlene Barkley also shot a 79 to take second.
DeRina Usher and Betty Johnson took third and Cathy McFerrin and Michelle Montgomery took fourth. Both pairs shot a 79 in the tournament.
Cathy Arinder and Celia Lackey paired up for an 82 to take first in the second flight. Lois Greer and Linda Higgins took second with an 84 while Mary Beth Nelson and Jessie Whittle also shot an 84 to finish third.
Carol Tomkins and Penny Fields finished fourth in the second flight with an 84. Sylvia Neal and Fran Brown fired an 88 to win the third flight.
