Nationally-known horticulturist Felder Rushing will appear Tuesday at the Meridian-Lauderdale County Library to present an informal show-and-tell about "unkillable plants" for Southern landscapes.
Rushing is a radio host, syndicated columnist and author of 10 garden books. He recently retired after nearly 25 years as Mississippi's consumer horticulturist with the MSU Extension Service.
His garden has been featured in Garden Design magazine, Southern Living magazine, House and Garden magazine and The New York Times.
Rushing will also sign copies of his latest book, "Tough Plants for Southern Gardens."
The event will be at 6 p.m. at the library, 2517 Seventh St. There is no admission charge.
