GILBERTOWN, Ala. Services for Mae Jewel Turner Diamond will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. at Phillips Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in Brightwater Cemetery.
Mrs. Diamond, 73, of Gilbertown, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, at Riley Hospital in Meridian.
Survivors include her husband, John Thomas Diamond of Gilbertown; sons, David Wendel Diamond of Linden, Ala., and Ronald Diamond of Gilbertown; a daughter, Brenda Drinkard of Chunchula, Ala.; brothers, Reese Turner, Franklin Turner and Frankie Turner, all of Quitman, Ernest Turner of Gilbertown, Hilton Turner of Louisiana, James Turner and Wayne Turner, both of Meridian; sisters, Ardell Jenkins, Audie Greene and Patricia Harrison, all of Meridian, Mattie Hall and Julia Tindle, both of Quitman; nine grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be today 6 p.m.-9 p.m. at the funeral home.
Services for Bessie Whitsey will be held Wednesday at 11 a.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel in Meridian with the Rev. E.E. McDonald officiating. Burial will be in Salem Cemetery in Toomsuba. E.E. McDonald Funeral Home of DeKalb is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Whitsey, 74, of Meridian, died Saturday, Aug. 23, 2003, in her home.
Survivors include her nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband and a sister.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-6 p.m. at E.E. McDonald Community Chapel.
Services for Norma Hailey will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at Silas B. Herrington Chapel with the Rev. Reid Whittington officiating. Burial will be in Cedarlawn Cemetery. Stephens Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Hailey, 67, of Meridian, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, at Rush Foundation Hospital.
Visitation will be 30 minutes prior to the service at the chapel.

Services for Sarah Warren Linton will be held Wednesday at 1:30 p.m. at James F. Webb Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Paul Raley officiating. Burial will be in Spring Hill Methodist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Linton, 81, of Quitman, formerly of Meridian, died Sunday, Aug. 24, 2003, at Lakeside Living Center in Quitman. She was a member of Springhill Methodist Church.
Survivors include her husband, Lavelle Linton of Meridian; sons, Richard W. Warren of Purvis and Michael L. Linton of Meridian; a daughter-in-law, Shirley Diane Linton of Quitman; a brother, Thomas Odell Warren of Prescott, Ariz.; eight grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Jim and Annie Joiner Warren; a sister, Annie Pearl Warren; brothers, D.L. and R.J. Warren.
Pallbearers will be Jimmy Ivy, Jerry Hill, Robbie Lester, Skip Holloway, Bubba Speed, Clyde Wright, James "Sketter" Dial and Randolph "Sleepy" Morris.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.

Services for Jack Scott will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Zachary Finley officiating. Burial will be Meridian Memorial Park Cemetery. Berry and Gardner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Scott, 81, of Meridian, died Friday, Aug. 22, 2003, at Jeff Anderson Regional Medical Center.
Survivors include his wife, Hattie Scott of Meridian; a son, John Howard Scott and his wife, Marie, of Wintersprings, Fla.; daughters, Helen Louise Townsend of Gardina, Calif., Ethel Ree "Rita" Presley of Jackson, Jackie M. Marve and her husband, Robert, of Baton Rouge, La., Dianne Brown and her husband, Marshall, of Springhill, Tenn., and Lisa Scott of Silver Springs, Md.; sisters, Ella Mae Bryant and LouElla Griffin, both of Shuqualak, and Bessie Goodwin of Meridian; 17 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Visitation will be Wednesday 8:30 p.m.-9:30 p.m. at the funeral home.

Arrangements were incomplete at E.E. McDonald Funeral Home of DeKalb for Annie Adams,of DeKalb, who died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, in her home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Janelle Rasberry Boyd, 83, of Meridian, who died Monday, Aug. 25, 2003, in her home.
