Sharon Harworth McDonald and Stanley Allen Wade III, both of Meridian, were married Saturday, Oct. 19, 2002, at Chapel at the Park in Gatlinburg, Tenn., with the Rev. Douglas Cunha officiating.
Parents of the couple are the late Donald and Lora Harworth and Dr. and Mrs. Stanley Allen Wade Jr., all of Meridian.
Grandparents of the bride are the late Mr. and Mrs. Alston James of Polkville and the late Mr. and Mrs. Julius Harworth of Detroit.
Grandparents of the bridegroom are Judge and Mrs. Stanley Allen Wade Sr. of Jasper, Ala., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kenneth Widener of Meridian.
The bride was given in marriage by her brother, Larry James Harworth. She wore simple gown of ivory matte satin featuring a scoop neckline with spaghetti straps across the shoulders. Beaded Brussels lace appliques embellished the fitted bodice and cascaded into an A-line skirt.
Covered buttons accented the back of the gown that flowed into a sweep train. She carried a cascading bouquet of ivory and peach roses.
Sandra Crawford of Meridian, sister of the bride, served as matron of honor.
Brian Kenneth Wade of Birmingham, Ala., brother of the bridegroom, served as best man.
A reception was held at the Park Vista Hotel following the ceremony.
Assisting at the reception were Vicky Henry of Tupelo and Virginia Mickelson of the Park Vista Hotel.
After a honeymoon in Gatlinburg, Tenn., the couple resides in Meridian.
