Meridian Lions Club elects officers

Keith Evans has been elected president of the Meridian Lions Club for the coming year.
Other officers elected recently include Joe Collins, first vice president; Stephen Brown, second vice president; Sylvia Thornhill, third vice president; Jerry Townsend, secretary; Dave Holloway, Lion Tamer; Everette Kimbrell and J.D. Webb, Tail Twisters; Ronnie Bennett, Joe Brown, Bunny Stephens and Jim Lyons, board of directors.
The Lions Club International is the world's largest service club organization with 1.4 million members in 46,000 countries and geographical areas. Lions are men and women who volunteer their time to humanitarian causes.
Founded in 1917, the association's motto is "We Serve."
The Meridian Lions Club meets on Thursdays at Rush Hospital at noon. For additional information, contact Evans at 693-2841.
