Threefoot Art Festival a success

Organizers of the recent Threefoot Art Festival say the event was a success.
The first annual festival was Oct. 11 and showcased one-of-a-kind works by artists from across the Southeast.
Merit awards were given to artists at the Threefoot Art Festival. They include:
Best of Show: Terry Cherry of Porterville, $1,000
Award of Distinction: Mark Millett of Ridgeland, $500
Award of Distinction: Bill Nelson of Birmingham, Ala., $500
Two dimensional: Peyton Long Hutchinson of Meridian, $250
Mixed Media: Judi Dyess of Theodore, Ala., $250
Jewelry: Randy Walker of Brandon, $250
Photo: Kim Wiygul of Tupelo, $250
Clay: Judy Rose of Knoxville, Tenn., $250
Wood: Joey Horn of Terry, 250
Sculpture: Bill Nelson of Birmingham, Ala., $250
Glass: Teresa Swystun of Algood, Tenn., $250
Metal: Michael Schwade of Eureka Springs, Ark., $250.
