Services for Goldie Mae Garrett will be held Thursday at 1 p.m. at Christian Fellowship Church with the Rev. Sephus Garrett officiating. Burial will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery. Barham Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Garrett, 83, of Meridian, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, in her home. She was a charter member of Christian Fellowship Church.
Survivors include her son, Sephus Garrett Jr. and his wife, Margaret, of Meridian; a daughter, Linda Johnson and her husband, Dale, of Birmingham, Ala.; grandsons, Frank Garrett, Dwayne Garrett, Sephus Garrett III and Timothy Johnson; great-grandchildren, John Garrett and Ashley Garrett.
She was preceded in death by her husband, the Rev. S.D. Garrett Sr.; and a great-granddaughter, BreAnn Garrett.
Memorials may be made to Christian Fellowship Church, 2412 State Blvd., Meridian, MS 39307.
Visitation will be today 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Automotive salesman
Services for Walter McLemore "Mac" Parker Jr. will be held Thursday at 2 p.m. at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Rev. Roy Dabbs officiating. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery with James F. Webb Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Parker, 39, of Meridian, died Sunday, March 7, 2004, in Meridian. He was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church. He was an automotive salesman with Rick Justice Pontiac GMC.
Survivors include his wife, Amy Renee Parker; a son, Richard Allen Parker and a daughter, Wendy Alicia Parker, all of Meridian; a sister, Suzanne Johnson and her husband, Bruce, of Ocean Springs; a brother, John David Parker and his wife, Kelly, of Van Cleave; a half-sister, Sharon Bates; his father, Walter McLemore Parker Sr. and his wife, Sue; his mother, Sandra Ellen Wells Reetz and her husband, Robert; his mother and father-in-law, Marie and Att Lamar Boren; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Troy Gore, Albert Jones, Bill Spence, Rush Laird, Johnny Ralph Morgan and Terry Pratt.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff McIntyre, Josh Pratt, Melvin Page, Michael Rice, Matthew Boren and Jeremy McIntyre; and co-workers from Rick Justice.
Visitation will be today from 5 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home and one hour prior to the service at the church.
Retired law enforcement
YORK, Ala. Graveside services for Robert Gene Dunn will be held Friday at 11 a.m. at Old Gainesville Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Suddeth officiating. Bumpers Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Dunn, 76, of Gainesville, died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at Green County Hospital in Eutaw.
Survivors include his sons, Craig Dunn of Eclectic and Steven Dunn of Gainesville; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha Jean Dunn; and a son, Larry Eugene Dunn Sr.
Visitation will be Thursday 6 p.m.-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Arrangements were incomplete at Barham Funeral Home for Berta Lee White, 89, who died Tuesday, March 9, 2004, at Beverly Health Care Center.
