Clarkdale tallies win

The Clarkdale baseball team improved to 9-6 for the season with a 17-0 victory over Heidelberg on Tuesday.
Kyle Boswell, Brent Mabry and Kyle Crenshaw combined on a no-hitter for the Bulldogs.
Boswell belted a home run for Clarkdale, and Mabry added a pair of doubles.
Chris Skinner, Scott Dawkins and Kurt Singley each hit one double for the Bulldogs.
Newton Co. 3
Forest 2
Jared Cavenaugh tossed a complete-game for Newton County, allowing four hits and striking out 12 in a win over Forest on Tuesday.
Jamie Farmer notched two hits, including a triple, for Newton County, and Bud Loper hit a double.
Parklane 13
Lamar 12
Drew Moffett went 2-for-5 with a double for Lamar, and Kemp Mosely also put in a 2-for-5 performance, but it wasn't enough for Lamar, which fell to Parklane by one run on Tuesday.
Enterprise 6
Taylorsville 1
Wade Weathers improved his record to 8-0 on the mound for Enterprise in the Bulldogs (12-4) win over Taylorsville.
Zeb Swan hit a single and a double, and Scott Mosely belted a double for Enterprise.
Heidelberg Aca. 7
Newton County Aca. 4
HEIDELBERG The Heidelberg Academy Rebels broke a 3-run tie with four runs in the sixth inning and went on to beat the Newton County Academy Generals on Tuesday.
The win lifts HA to 14-0 overall, 5-0 in District 3-A.
Mason Key doubled for the Rebels, while Ryan Aultman, Chad Carmichael, J.R. Stephenson, Brent Welch and Ian Sharp added singles.
Paul Zeagler was the winning pitcher, going the distance, striking out three and walking none.
Blake Hedrick and Brad Harrison each singled twice for NCA.

UNION West Jones sophomore pitcher John Randall Moore tossed a six-inning no-hitter to lead the Mustangs to an 11-1 victory over Union on Tuesday. Moore, 1-1, struck out 13.
Ray Ray Pickering and Brett Lawson each homered and singled for the Mustangs. Trey Sutton added a pair of singles.

WAYNESBORO The Wayne County War Eagles scored six runs after two were out in the fifth inning to record a 10-8 Region 5 4A win over Northeast Jones on Tuesday.
Dustin Freeman and Brandon Jordan led Wayne with two hits each. Jordan was the winning pitcher.
T.K. Bates led NEJ at the plate with three hits, while A.J.Yanez added two hits.

Jennifer Bristow went 3-for-4 with a pair of doubles for Northeast Lauderdale in a win over Southeast Lauderdale on Tuesday.
Savannah Hall smacked a home run for the Lady Trojans, and Amber Gray hit a double. Jana Olczack picked up the win for Northeast, allowing three hits.

Brooke Lee allowed two hits and struck out four to notch the win on the mound for West Lauderdale over Raleigh on Tuesday.
Hailey Campbell went 3-for-4 for the Lady Knights, and Sarah Howard went 2-for-2.

Brandi Limerick improved her record to 11-7 with Meridian High School's win over Choctaw Central on Tuesday.
Kourtney Trotter notched two hits, including a home run, for the Lady Wildcats, and Ebonee Ball recorded a pair of hits with a double.
Philadelphia 16
Ethel 3
Dawn Rushing, Sheinque Brass and Candace Griffin each tallied multiple hits for Philadelphia in a win over Ethel on Tuesday.
Griffin notched a double and a triple, and Jillian Sparnecht hit a double for Philadelphia.
Clarkdale 13
Puckett 1
Clarkdale improved its record to 15-3 for the year with a win over Puckett on Tuesday.
Emily Howard (11-2) threw four innings for the Lady Bulldogs, striking out 12 and walking one in the win.
Megan Potate recorded three hits with a double for Clarkdale.
