Angela Rena Vernon, 33, of Russellville, died Thursday, June 14, 2007. She was a native of Franklin County.
Services will be held this afternoon at 2 p.m. in Akins Funeral Home Chapel. Bro. Bobby Stancil and Bro. Tom Wimberly will be officiating. Interment will follow at Franklin Memorial Gardens in Russellville. Pallbearers will include Mark Snodgrass, Shane Cook, Wayne Frazier, Chris Roden, Derrick Stancil, Jeff Stancil, and Gary Stancil.
She was employed at Pilgrim's Pride, and was a member of the Praise Tabernacle Church of Russellville.
She was preceded in death by her grandmothers, Mamie Ruth Wilson and Lucille Vernon.
Survivors include her parents, Raymond and Peggy Vernon of Russellville; a sister, Dedra Rose and her Ryan of Russellville; a niece, Ashley Rose of Russellville; a special friend, Kevin Mynatt of Knoxville, Tenn., and Johnny and Mary Wilson.
The family would like to thank the staff at Russellville Hosptial, Med Flight Air Service, and Gold Kist/Pilgrim's Pride family, and all of their friends for their prayers and thoughts.

Wayne Wallace (Dick) Hyde

Wayne Wallace (Dick) Hyde, 59, of Muscle Shoals, passed away Thursday, June 14, 2007.
A graveside service was held yesterday, June 16, 2007, at Hyde Cemetery in Littleville, with Bro. Mark Smith officiating. Pallbearers were Dwayne Johnson, William (Hack) Hackett, Tommy Hines, Clifford Holt, Kenneth Kimbrough, and Ronnie Castle. Honorary pallbearers were Mike Willis, Dennis Cheatham, Roger Enchiff, Bob Bailey, Ray Davenport, Phil Holloway, Bobby Hyde, Seth Hyde, and members of plumbers and steamfitters Local 760.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wallace and Clara Encheff Hyde.
He is survived by one son, Christopher Wayne Hyde of Houston, Texas; two brothers, John H. Hyde of Russellville, and Robert L. Hyde and wife Diane, of Russellville; caretaker Paula Crowell of Muscle Shoals; and four nieces and nephews.
The family expresses their thanks to Southern Care Hospice, Dr. Ashmore, Divita Dialysis and Mid-South Home Health Care.

Mildred Beatrice Bottomley Paxon

Mildred Beatrice Bottomley Paxon, 94, of Madison, passed away Wednesday, June 13, 2007.
Funeral services were yesterday. June 16, 2007, at Spry Memorial Chapel, with Bro. Craig Lindsey officiating. Interment was at Franklin Memory Gardens.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Eugene Woods Paxson; her parents, Oscar Richard and Gertrude Miller Bottomley; five brothers and four sisters.
She is survived by three daughters, Carol Lindsey and husband, Bert, of Wildwood, Missouri, Mary Jane Norris and husband, Benjie, of Huntsville, and Pam Jenkins and husband Michael of Collierville, Tennessee; one sister, Frances Huber of Evansvile, Indiana; six grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.

David Lionel Credille

David Lionel Credille, 52, of Red Bay, passed away on June 12, 2007 at the Red Bay Hospital.
He was born January 27, 1955 in Mississippi to Ernest and Margaret Wooten Credille. He was a stone mason for 20 years, a veteran of the U.S. Army, and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by one daughter, Angie Stidham and husband Billy, of Vina; one grandson, Nathaniel Stidham of Vina; three brothers, Earl Credille of Fairview, Mississippi, Randall Credille, of Belmont, Mississippi, and Larry Credille, of Vicksburg, Mississippi; and one sister, Charlene Dischman, of Belmont, Mississippi.
Funeral services were private. The family was assisted by Deaton Funeral Homes, Inc. of Red Bay.
Hugh Edsel Hamrick

Hugh Edsel Hamrick, 80, of Haleyville, passed away June 9, 2007 as his home.
Funeral services were held June 11, 2007 at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel, Haleyville, with Bro. Stanley Hargett officiating. Burial followed in Winston Memorial Cemetery.
He was retired from Reynolds, and was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church. He was a veteran of the Korean War.
He is survived by his wife, Janie L. Hamrick; two children, Eddie Hamrick of Haleyville, and Pam Whitten, of Enterprise; two siblings, Atholyn Stewart of Adrien, Michigan, and Edranell Williams of Franklin, Tennessee; three grandchildren, Daniel Hamrick, Kolby Hamrick, and Jayce Hamrick; and a host of relatives and friends. Pinkard Funeraal Home, Haleyville, assisted the family.
Nova Elizabeth Fowler

Nova Elizabeth Fowler, of Phil Campbell passed away June 14, 2007.
Mrs. Fowler lived all her life in Franklin County and was a member of Mountain View Baptist Church in Phil Campbell.
Funeral services will be held June 17 at 2 p.m. at Mountain View Baptist Church with Venlon Bradford officiating.
The family will receive friends at the church Sunday from 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Survivors include her children, Vera Scott of Phil Campbell; Bill (Frieda) Fowler of Phil Campbell; Jerry (Carolyn) Fowler of Killen; Edward (Margaret) Fowler of Rockford, Ill.; Bobby (Carolyn) Fowler, of Beloit, Wis.; sister, Tavia Cagle, of Russellville; 12 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Henry Fowler; granddaughter, Judy Lee Jester and grandson, Ricky Fowler.
