Johnny Eugene Copeland, age 61, of Red Bay died July 29, 2007 at St. Vincent's Hospital in Birmingham, Alabama. He was born September 4, 1945 in Itawamba County, Miss to Eugene and Lola Faye Page Copeland. He was a parts salesman for 23 years and a Baptist. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Mike Copeland.
Funeral services were kept private.
He was survived by on son, Jay Copeland of Gainesville, Fla.; one sister, Janie Cromeans and husband, John Cromeans, of Birmingham; nieces and nephews, Catherin Cromeans, John Cromeans III, and Nicole Roberson and husband, Bradley Roberson, all of Oxford, Miss., and Matthew Copeland and wife, Whitney, of Golden, Miss.

Charles Waymon Graham

Charles Waymon Graham, age 81, of Red Bay died July 30, 2007 at Red Bay Hospital. He was born July 25, 1926 in Franklin County to Fred And Vivan Johnson Grahajm. He was a machine operator with Johns Manville for 25 years and was a member of Eastside Church of Christ.
Funeral Services were held Aug. 5, 2007 at Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Danny Fuller and Thomas Neal officiating. Burial was in the Hatley Cemetery in Hatley, Miss.
He was survived by two sons, Charles Graham and, wife, Debbie, of Orlando, Fla., and Richard Graham of Okolona, Miss.; two daughters, Carolyn Parish and, husband, Jerry Parish, of Phoenix, Ariz., and Lynda Bergman of Okolona, Miss.; three sisters, Faye Young and Helen Hall, both of Red Bay; and Virginia Graham of Kenosha, Wis.; four brothers, George Graham of Red Bay, Burl Graham of Muscle Shoals, Fred Graham of Palm Valley, Calf., and Johnny Graham of Waukegan, Ill.; 12 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren, and a special friend, Eloise Thorn.
Pallbearers for the service included Dennis Heisel, Michael Cox, Andrew Graham, Jeffrey Smith, Hershel Graham, and Glen Graham.

Edith Gilliland Creekmore, age 72, of Red Bay died July 31, 2007 at the Red Bay Care Center. She was born Nov. 7, 1934 in Alabama to Eugene and Estelle Martin Gillilan. She was a secretary with Spry Funeral Home for 30 years and a member of First Baptist Church of Red Bay. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Funeral Services were held Aug. 4, 2007 at the Deaton Funeral Home Chapel in Red Bay with Bro. Larry Hill and Bro. Tom Scott officiating. Burial was in the Red Bay City Cemetery.
She is survived by husband of 56 years, Raymond A. Creekmore or Red Bay; two children, Kay Newell and, husband, Robert, and Keith Creekmore, all of Red Bay; one brother, Eddie Gilliland and, wife, Amy Jean Gilliland, of Portage, Ind.; three grandchildren, Jerrod Newell of Tuscaloosa, Emily Newell Davis and, husband, Joel Davis, of Moody, and Madison Creekmore of Red Bay.
Pallbearers for the service were Richard Gilliland, Gilbert Childers, Elmer Self, Ross White, David Corum and Jeremy Robinson.

James Milton Lane, age 83, of Russellville of natural causes.
Funeral services were held Aug. 5, 2007 at the Akins Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Bro. Curtis Taylor officiating. Burial was in the Tharptown Cemetery in Russellville.
She is survived by nieces, Geraldine Mitchell of Russellville, Katherine Lindsey of Russellville, Patsy King and husband, Billy, of Russellville, and Louise Bendall of Tuscumbia; nephews, Gene Freeman and wife, Geraldine, of Tuscumbia, Charles Freeman and wife, Dot, of Russellville, Gerald Lane and wife, Peggy, of Russellville, Raymond Lane of Russellville and Tom Vandiver of Tuscumbia; stepsons, Robert Allen of Phil Campbell; and stepdaughters, Vickie Trapp and Betty Trapp, both of Phil Campbell,
He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Savannah Lane; wife, Evelyn Allen Lane; stepson, Johnny Allen; stepdaughter, Shirley McGee; sisters, Alma Vandiver and Alice Freeman; brothers, Abner Lane, Floyd Lane, Ollie Lane, Roy Lane, and Willie Lane.

David Scott Barnett, age 44, of Tamarac, Fla. died Aug. 5, 2007. He was a native of Glendale, Calif., and worked as a computer technician.
Graveside services will be held Aug. 9, 2007 at Barnett Cemetery in Lexington with Bro. Richard Parker officiating.
He is survived by his wife of six years, Ying Barnett of Tamarac, Fla.; his mother, Susan Piere and husband, Felix, of Hemet, Calif.; father, Hal Barnett and wife, Deborah, of Russellville; brother, Eric Barnett of Hemet, Calif.; grandmother, Letha I. Barnett of Russellville; aunt, Sue Pilgrim and husband, Fred, of Russellville; uncles, Howard Barnett and wife, Ann, of Russellville and Mickey Barnett of Russellville, and several cousins.

Tommy Ray Mansell, Jr., age 43, of Russellville, died Aug. 4, 2007. He lived most of his life in Franklin County and was a member of First Church of Nazarene in Russellville. He also served in the U.S. Navy and was a former employee of Gold Kist.
Funeral services were held on Aug. 7, 2007 at the Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with Michael Cummings and glen Mayfield officiating. Burial was in the Knights of Pythias Cemetery.
He is survived by wife, Gloria Hamm Mansell of Russellville; daughter, Brandy Mansell of Russellville; parents, Tommy and Joyce Mansell of Russellville; brother, Cory Mansell and wife, Shannon, of Tony, Ala.; sisters, Lisa Green and husband, Jerome, of Russellville, Stephanie Briles and husband, Chris, of Russellville, and Daphanie Fretwell and husband, Joey, of Russellville; and aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
He is preceded by first wife, Natalie Mansell; grandparents, Hubert and Nellie Mae Mansell, Jessie and Lillie Mae Pierce; and best friend, Tim Potter.

The body will be placed in the church at noon and burial will follow in Fairview Cemetery.

Elizabeth McNatt, 74, of Russellville, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, Aug. 5, 2007.
Funeral services will be held at Spry Memorial Chapel today, Aug. 8, at 10 a.m. with Bro. Vernie Cummings and Bro. Brian McFadden officiating. Internment will follow in the Jonesboro Cemetery.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy McNatt; son, Michael McNatt; parents, Willie and Thelma Russell and sister, Faye Richards.
She is survived by her daughters, Marcella Williams, of Louisville, Tenn., Teresa Borden of Russellville and Melinda Dishon of Russellville; sons, Darrell McNatt, Wallace McNatt and Robert McNatt, all of Russellville; sisters, Zola Burns, Juanita Johnson, Mary Nelson, Gail Berry and Phyllis Chambers, all of Louisville, Tenn.; brother, Orville Russell, of Woodstock, Geo.; three grandchildren, one great-grandchild and 13 nieces and nephews.

Newton Roscoe Uptain, 76, of Russellville passed away Aug. 7, 2007.
Mr. Uptain was a lifelong resident of Franklin County and a member of Siloam Missionary Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be held today, Aug. 8, at 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel with Coy Marbutt and Roger Bond officiating.
Burial will follow in Franklin Memory Gardens.
Visitation will be held prior to the service from noon to 2 p.m.
He is survived by his wife, Frances Sue Uptain of Russellville; children, James (Wanda) Uptain of Tuscaloosa; Thomas (Mary) Uptain of Russellville; Carolyn (Robert) Pace of Russellville and Shelia (Steve) Plemons of Russellville; brother, JW Kidd of Muscle Shoals; 10 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers will be Matt Uptain, Milton Green, Lance Pace, Heath Gamble, Leland Kidd and Alex Uptain.
He was preceded in death by his parent, Thomas and Tiny Marie Uptain.

William (Bill) Edgar Britton, 78, of Belgreen, passed away Saturday, Aug. 4, 2007.
Visitation will be held at Spry Memorial Chapel today, Aug. 8, from 2:30 to 4 p.m. The 4 p.m. funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel.
Interment will follow in Belgreen Cemetery.
He was preceded in death by his brother, Athel D. Britton and parents, Arthur and Dona Lee Britton.
He is survived by one nephew, Eddie (Kathy) Britton, of Belgreen; niece, Alisa (Ronnie) Miller, of Belgreen; great-nephews, David Britton and Josh Miller; great-nieces, Alison (Pete) Gallman and their son, Noah; Lori (Samuel) McDonnell and sister-in-law Ruby Britton.
Pallbearers will be LG Britton, Bobby Miller, Turner Richardson, Kenneth Sikes, Dr. Jimmy Britton and Josh Miller.
Memorials may be made to the Belgreen Methodist Church.
