Barry Lyle Sanders, age 41, of Red Bay, died November 27, 2007 at UAB Hospital in Birmingham. He was a lifelong member of Missionary Baptist Church and was a welder for TBEL.
Funeral services were held November 29, 2007 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Russellville with Scot Wilson and Matthew Hanes officiating the service. Burial will be in the Old Line Cemetery in Hodges.
He is survived by wife, Stephanie Sanders, of Red Bay; mother, Margaret Sanders of Red Bay; children, Paige, Matthew, and Hunter; sister, Cindy Nipper of Hackleburg; brothers, Ricky Sanders of Hamilton, Tim Sanders and wife, Kim, of Russellville, Randy Sanders and wife, Sandy, of Muscle Shoals; and several nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers for the service included Jeff Palmer, Scotty Nichols, Tim Nichols, Tim Guinn, Brandon Bishop, Russ Hester, Richard Paige, and James Collins. Honorary pallbearers include Cody Palmer and Cade Palmer.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clark Sanders.
Pinkard Funeral Home of Russellville assisted the family.
Royce Pike
November 26, 2007
Royce Alton Pike, age 55, of the Dime Community, died November 26, 2007. He was born on August 26, 1952 in Michigan, and attended worship services Faith Mission Outreach in Russellville.
Funeral services were held November 28, 2007 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville with Matthew Mangino officiating the service. Burial was in the Bear Creek No. 1 Cemetery in Bear Creek.
He is survived by his wife, Robin Pike, of the Dime Community; stepchildren, Danielle, Joseph and Christopher Self; sisters, Kay Wakefield and Judy Cummings; brothers, Ricky and Gregg Pike, and a host of relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by parents, Ruen and Ruth Pike, and brother, Randy Pike.
Pinkard Funeral Home of Haleyville assisted the family.
Oda Kelton

Oda Lou Kelton, age 90, of Golden, Miss., died November 27, 2007 at the Meadows in Fulton, Miss. She was born January 12, 117 in Itawamba County to Bill Jack and Sara Woolridge Johnson She was a homemaker and attended Altar Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Thomas Kelton; a son-in-law, Paul Garrison; a daughter-in-law, Vernell Kelton, a granddaughter, Joy McMickin; a great-great-grandson, Gage Kelton; eight brothers and two sisters.
Funeral services were held November 29, 2007 at Altar Baptist Church with Bro. Paul Reynolds and Bro. Marshall Green officiating. Burial was in the Old Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Golden.
Pallbearers for the service include Eddie Kelton, Donald Kelton, Ronald Kelton, Randy Kelton, Michael Kelton, Christopher Kelton, Keith Kelton, Tony Kelton, Thomas Kelton, Adam Ball, Matthew Ball, Robert Strickland, and Nathan Kelton.
She is survived by sons, Murl Kelton and wife, Azelee, Troy Kelton, and wife, Virginia, Delton Kelton and wife, Mildred, and Paul Kelton and wife, Faye, all of Golden; daughters, Betty McMickin and husband, Ricky, and Judy Boyd, and husband, Arthur, both of Tremont, Miss.; 17 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; four great-great grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends.
Beatrice Creekmore
November 28, 2007
Beatrice Creekmore, age 100, of Vina, died November 28, 2007 at her residence. She was born August 16, 1907 in Marion County to Frank and Moellar Griffus Holland. She was a housewife and the oldest member of Hurricane Creek Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Elvin Creekmore; her parents, daughter, Betty Sue Stanphill and sons, Thurmon Creekmore and Belt Creekmore.
Funeral services were held December 1, 2007 at Deaton Funeral Home in Red Bay with Bro. W.D. Humphres and Bro. J.C. Blackburn officiating the service. Burial was in the Ebenezer Cemetery.
Pallbearers for the service included Duane Creekmore, Keith Creekmore, Shane Creekmore, Steve Stanphill, Chris Petty and Jimmy Creekmore.
She is survived by children, Evonne Sartain, and husband, Carol, of Fulton, Miss., Bobbie Petty and husband, Ezell, of Golden, Miss., Elsie Singleton of Vina, Bud Creekmore of Red Bay, Carlos Creekmore and wife, Pam, of Vina, Larry Creekmore of Red Bay, Icy Parker and husband, Gary, of Red Bay, and Danny Ray Creekmore and wife, Gail, of Vina; sister, Elvie Rollins; 31 grandchildren, 48 great-grandchildren, and 15 great-great grandchildren.
