The club decorated two trees and two benches in front of the city hall as well as hung wreaths on the building. Decorations were also placed in the lobby area of city hall.
"We also decorated the Heritage iron poles in the downtown area in addition to the city hall decorations," Malone said.
The Garden Club will also hold their annual " Every Light A Prayer for Peace" service on Wednesday, Dec. 5 at 4:30 p.m. on the steps of the Franklin County Courthouse.
"We encourage the public to attend this event," Malone said.
The RHS, RES, and RMS choruses will perform special music for the event while Jordan Burcham will be the featured soloist for the event.
Malone said that Boy Scout Pack #39 and Pack #114, and the Girl Scout Troop #117 and Brownie Troop #227 will post their colors during the event.
"Rev. Richard Parker will give a brief prayer for peace message during the event," Malone said.
She added that other featured singers will include Liza Jane Richey, Scarlet Sage, and Savannah Sage.
"Candles will be distributed by club members for a special lighting ceremony during the service," Malone said.
