Mary Louise Loueda Tesseneer, 91, passed away Dec. 7, 2007 at Burns Nursing Home.
She was a member of Hackleburg Church of Christ Church.
Funeral services were held Dec. 10 at Hackleburg Church of Christ with Mike Lane officiating. Burial followed in Cedar Tree Cemetery in Hackleburg.
She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Robert Silas and Lou Ella Cochran; husband, James Lowell Tesseneer; four brothers, Freemon, Lando, George and Bill Cochran; sisters, Leota Nix, Viola Crews Cage and Leevie Cantrell.
John Wallace Wood

John Wallace Wood Jr., 82, passed away Wednesday, Dec. 12, at Princeton Hospital in Birmingham.
Mr. Wood was born Jan. 23, 1925 in Russellville. He served under General George Patton in the Army during World War II. He received the Bronze Star, the Purple Heart, a Combat Infantryman Badge and an Expert Rifleman Award. He was retired from Monsanto in Decatur and was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church.
Funeral services will be Friday, Dec. 14, at 2 p.m. at Pinkard Funeral Home Chapel in Russellville with burial to follow in Franklin Memory Gardens with Eddie Wix officiating. Survivors include three children, John Wayne Wood, Sr. (Mary Leigh), of Russellville, Mary Burfield (Hoyt), of Lebabon, Tenn. and Ann Bailey (Donald Ray), of Russellville; grandchildren, Brandon Wood, Donnie Bailey, Jeremy Bailey, Crystal Burfield Taylor, Hoyt Wayne Burfield, Jr.; great-grandchildren, Brittany Wood, Brianna Wood, Levi Bailey, John Riley Bailey, Donovan Bailey, Megan Bailey, Peyton Bailey; three step-great grandchildren; nephew, Thomas Allen Wood. His great-grandchildren affectionately called him Ol' Daddy.
Pallbearers will be Hugh Ray Harbin, Thomas Harbin, John Harper, Tommy Martin, Freddie Pounders, Bobby Turbyfill and A.B. Hall, alternate.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Frannie S. Wood; parents, John Wallace and Bertha Wood; brother, Thomas C. "Tom" Wood and grandson, John Wayne Wood, Jr.
Frances Whitt Hackett

Frances Whitt Hackett, age 87, of Haleyville, died December 10, 2007 at Rose Manor in Haleyville. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Haleyville.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 12, 2007 at Pinkard Funeral Home in Haleyville with Dr. Jim Cooley officiating. Burial was in the Winston Memorial Cemetery.
Ms. Hackett is survived by brothers, James H. Whitt of Haleyville, and Joe Whitt of Reform; sister, Martha Hoover of Birmingham, and a host of family and friends.
Ms. Hackett was preceded in death by parents, W.W. and Maggie Whitt; husband, Clyde Hackett; sisters, Sarah Fuller and Jean Roby and brother, Billy Whitt.
Pinkard Funeral Home of Haleyville assisted the family.
